Today we
finally went on our first hike of the year and I am so excited about getting back outside and exploring again. I had forgotten about how much I love it!
We went to Rattlesnake Ledge which is only 4 miles round trip, and it's pretty easy.
The sun was out in Seattle so I got a little excited, but on the 30-mile drive there, I drove through heavy rain showers, then sun, then grey skies, so I had no idea what to expect.
Unfortunately, when I got there, I noticed some snow on the ground. Uh oh! Despite the cold and getting hit with snowballs (as it melted off the trees) it was a good hike and we had a great time! We didn't linger long at the top because the view was obstructed by clouds, it was cold, and there was a good 3-4 inches of snow.
