Back from New York!

Last weekend, I took a long weekend to go on a trip to NYC with my dad and we had a fantastic time! We got lucky with good weather and amazing food of course.

Some highlights from the trip:
  • Ate melt-in-your-mouth pasta in Little Italy
  • Got bombarded by people offering "watches, handbags, gucci, rolex" in Chinatown
  • Mastered the subway (even successfully offered directions to a few people who asked!)
  • Visited Central Park for my dad's first time
  • Visited the Metropolitan Museum for both of our first time
  • Went to Macy's. Three times.
  • Went to a fancy, expensive steakhouse
  • Walked. A LOT.
  • Went to the top of Rockefeller Center on a clear sunny day

Yummy authentic Italian pizza!

In the meantime, Ellie stayed with her best friend Goldie (and my sister) and had a great time being allowed on her bed and couch. She's not allowed on the furniture at my place ;)

It was great spending lots of time with my dad and had some very successful shopping outings, but I am glad to be back home with my doggy!

  2. Ohhhh what a wonderful time you had! Wait a minute! That is your DAD???????? Was he 10 when he had you???? OMG he looks sooooooooooo young! Handsome guy!!!

  3. @Caren LOL my dad is 50; youthful looks run in the family (I still get carded for lotto tickets and I'm 24)

  4. I'm so jealous! Sounds like an amazing time! And that picture of Ellie is adorable. She looks all innocent, like she is practicing her "I didn't sleep on the bed" face. hehe

  5. I am 55 and he looks A LOT younger than I do! You are blessed with an amazing gene pool my friend! :)

  6. Sounds like a really fun trip!

  7. I came across your blog while on twitter and just love it! Dog people are truly the best people! I should say: "animal people"! I love them all! Ellie is so adorable! and so is Goldie! They look like they had it pretty rough! You can see my previous & new dogs - Jwls

  8. Awwww, are you daddy's little girl?? I was lucky and got to go to NY 3 different times in 2010. I don't see that happening again anytime soon! Bummer!!
