Furry 5K Walk

This past weekend, Ellie and I enjoyed a beautiful sunny Sunday at Seward Park in Seattle for the Furry 5K walk/run to benefit the Seattle Animal Shelter.

We were both overwhelmed with the number of dogs and people who showed up - hundreds! And the dogs were all shapes and sizes. It's always so much fun to see such doggy diversity.
Love big Danes!
Waiting to walk
In going through my pictures, I also realized that we went hiking on Saturday too! I went with a big group of girls and there were very few people on the trail which meant Ellie got to be off leash. She LOVED it. She kept sprinting ahead and then running back to make sure we were keeping up.

Lots of physical outdoor activities for us this weekend!

  2. No wonder Ellie is able to maintain her figure...all that exercise....LOL I love it when I come up on a Great Dane...I know this may not be the ideal response..but I sometimes feel like I want to hop on for a ride...lol..they are so big...same with Leonbergers...LOVE 'em....but again, HUGE...I want to ride...lol

Forgive the ignorance of this East coaster but it is till cold enough in your neck of the woods to have a half frozen lake?

  3. @PawPurry LOL I totally know what you mean about wanting to ride a Great Dane, or at least put a saddle and a small child on top haha!

It's been 60-70 in Seattle. I wasn't expecting snow or ice either but apparently the hike was high enough up in the mountains!
